Press Release – June 2014
Gorilla SEAL has had many people comment on the amazing ability of Gorilla SEAL products to excel and out-perform other popular and traditional lubricants in amusement parks, industrial settings, ski industry-maintenance and in the home. Gorilla SEAL™ is USDA certified bio-based and “Green Engineered”
After years of successful R&D Gorilla SEAL ™ is now being sold and used in the following marketplaces.
Ski Resorts-Detachable Chairlifts and Gondola lubrication, never seize on nuts and bolts and general anti-corrosion and rust.
A major Idaho resort reported “…we have used virtually every type of product out there and all of them fell short and had issues, Gorilla SEAL has worked excellent for us, with zero issue. It is very clean, no buildup or gumming, in fact in the first couple of application it was amazing how much dirt and buildup it removed from the other products we had been using” .
Industrial-Machining, drilling, tapping, stainless steel and aluminum lubricant (prevents seizing and galling), rust and corrosion prevention and chain lubricant.
A German machine tool manufacturer with a plant in the eastern U.S. has had great results for drilling, tapping and boring operations in their manufacturing plant.
A prototype and R&D machine shop in eastern Massachusetts has been using Gorilla SEAL for 3 years. They work on a lot of exotic materials. “Gorilla SEAL works great for us, we prefer the aerosol for its easy application, it stays on the work piece and the tool and does not fly off or smoke, the fact that it is a green product is definitely an added benefit. We have noticed that our tooling is lasting a lot longer between sharpening or replacement”
Amusement Parks - Are where Gorilla SEAL was first introduced and is being used across the industry in the U.S. and internationally. Gorilla SEAL reduces wear on urethane and nylon wheels and prevents scrubbing. Lubricates and protects tracks and rails. Reduces friction which increases life, reduces heat, reduces energy needs, requires less man hours and in the end reduces costs.
A major park ride maintenance supervisor said, “Hey Scott everything is going well. Your product is working well as a matter of fact I needed some to use I on my personal truck last week and I’m a believer now”.
Home- Excellent for wherever lubrication, corrosion and rust resistance are required for household needs, home shop/garage use. Gorilla SEAL receives many stories about the different uses for their product in and around the home and how much better it works than what they had previously tried.
One of the more interesting comments,“I travel a lot and spend a lot of time in hotels; one of the first things I do when I get into my room is open the window or sliding glass doors for fresh air. I can’t tell you how many poorly opening/functioning windows and sliders I have fixed with Gorilla SEAL! Sometimes there is such a change I think I should send maintenance a bill”

GORiLLA SEAL™ Track Lubricant USDA Certified Biobased Product
Ebeemee Twp, ME — GORiLLA SEAL™ is pleased to announce the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) BioPreferred program, a Federal purchasing program for biobased products, recently has certified GORiLLA SEAL™ as a USDA CERTIFIED BIOBASED PRODUCT. With its searchable and user-friendly database, anyone can use the online catalog to find biobased products that meet BioPreferred program requirements.
GORiLLA SEAL™ Track Lubricant is an outstanding cleaner, lubricant and seasoning product for roller coaster tracks and wheels. It is also an excellent anti-seize, without the toxic characteristics of traditional anti-seize products. GORiLLA SEAL™ is ideal for areas prone to rust and provides excellent corrosion protection. It is safe to use on plastic, nylon, rubber, O rings, urethane and metal. This product can replace many products already on your shelves. GORiLLA SEAL™ is user friendly, environmentally safe, biodegradable and water resistant.
BioPreferred is a Federal program that seeks to increase the purchase and use of biobased goods — products made from biological or renewable materials.
“Initially, the catalog was created to help Federal procurement officers identify biobased products that qualify for preferred purchasing,” said Ron Buckhalt, BioPreferred’s program manager. “But the BioPreferred online catalog is accessible to anyone who wants to search for biobased products. We are gratified so many find the catalog a useful tool.”
BioPreferred’s online product catalog is searchable by product category (i.e. construction and road maintenance, housewares and cleaning products, etc) and further by subcategory, manufacturer name or product name. Today, more than 1480 biobased products manufactured by more than 320 companies are in the online catalog, with new products continually being added.
BioPreferred estimates more than 19,000 biobased products are commercially available, and manufactured by more than 2,540 businesses, both large and small— including many in rural communities. The 2002 Farm Bill, then reauthorized by the 2008 Farm Bill, requires all Federal agencies to give procurement preference to BioPreferred designated items, helping biobased manufacturers gain a portion of the estimated $500 billion Federal agencies annually spend on products and services. Additional product development support for biobased manufacturers and Federal environmental purchasing mandates came in October 2009 with Executive Order 13514: Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance. This Administration directive requires Federal agencies to purchase various “green” items (including BioPreferred products) in 95 percent of all applicable contracts.

About biobased products
As defined by Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (FSRIA), “biobased products” are products determined by the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture to be commercial or industrial goods (other than food or feed) composed in whole or in significant part of biological products, forestry materials or renewable domestic agricultural materials, including plant, animal or marine materials.
BioPreferred was created by the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (2002 Farm Bill), and expanded by the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 (2008 Farm Bill) to increase the purchase and use of biobased products. The U.S. Department of Agriculture manages the program. BioPreferred includes a preferred procurement program for Federal agencies and contractors, and a voluntary labeling program for the broad scale consumer marketing of biobased products.
A complete list and detailed description of each BioPreferred designated item, and items for future designation, can be found at www.biopreferred.gov or follow BioPreferred at http://twitter.com/BioPreferred.
